Zend Quick Start: PHP for Experienced Programmers
The “Zend Quick Start: PHP for Experienced Programmers”:http://www.zend.com/en/services/training/course-catalog/php-for-experienced-programmers course is designed to quickly build an experienced programmer’s understanding of the PHP language. This course covers many of the same topics as both the PHP I: Foundations and PHP II: Higher Structures classes but at an accelerated rate with special emphasis on the differences between PHP and other commonly used languages. I was really embarrassed in front of a client today cuz of the bug in your "quick start" and it not working from the directions given… If the code in your "official quick start" still has bugs what can we expect from the framework? My client really wants to go with RoR which is obviously it’s own can of worms, but my main reason for saying use PHP and probably the Zend Framework with it is credibility… and that has sadly been lost with him from the "get go" on the quickstart…

While I’d agree that there shouldn’t have been bugs I’d have to say you should have checked it worked first before showing it to anyone. If you showed this to a customer without checking it actually worked I’d say the impression given was probably the correct one!

yeah, i’m going to echo furq. not checking someone else’s work is not at all professional. if it’s not your code, it’s not your code: don’t just trust it.
