Pádraic Brady is now summarizing the Zend Framework Contributors Mailing-List

Zend Framework

If you have been around Zend Framework for very long you know the name Pádraic Brady. (Even if you are like me and still have trouble pronouncing it) He’s been a contributor for a long time and in addition to contributing code, Pádraic has also contributed to the body of knowledge of those using Zend Framework. His blog posts are always interesting, his tutorials are a great starting point for the topics he covers and his open source book project “Surviving the Deep End!” is an excellent read for anyone starting off with Zend Framework. With all of this to his credit already, it is fair to say that Pádraic is an authority on Zend Framework and one of the few people deep enough into the community to take on this latest project.

Starting with June 2011, Pádraic is now posting monthly summaries of the Zend Framework Contributors mailing-list. The first post, “Zend Framework Contributors Mailing-List Summary; Edition #1 (June 2011)” is now available on Pádraic’s blog and is more than just a cursory glance at the mailing list to fill a blog post on a slow Friday.

If you are using Zend framework, you need to keep up with what is going on. If you don’t have time to wade through the mailing-list, Pádraic’s summaries may be the best way for you to keep your finger on the pulse of the framework.

Click on through and see what went on in June. Make sure you take the time to tell Pádraic thank you for the effort.

About Cal Evans

Many moons ago, at the tender age of 14, Cal touched his first computer. (We're using the term "computer" loosely here, it was a TRS-80 Model 1) Since then his life has never been the same. He graduated from TRS-80s to Commodores and eventually to IBM PC's. For the past 10 years Cal has worked with PHP and MySQL on Linux OSX, and when necessary, Windows. He has built on a variety of projects ranging in size from simple web pages to multi-million dollar web applications. When not banging his head on his monitor, attempting a blood sacrifice to get a particular piece of code working, he enjoys building and managing development teams using his widely imitated but never patented management style of "management by wandering around". Cal is currently based in Nashville, TN and is gainfully unemployed as the Chief Marketing Officer of Blue Parabola, LLC. Cal is happily married to wife 1.28, the lovely and talented Kathy. Together they have 2 kids who were both bright enough not to pursue a career in IT. Cal blogs at http://blog.calevans.com and is the founder and host of Day Camp 4 Developers
