TLK: Empress extension

Wenhui Zhang has made a request for a CVS account to update and maintain the
extension for the Empress RDBMS. This might be a move by Empress to support their
own database with PHP – a
statement of how popular the language is becoming.

FIX: GD extension

The extremely prolific Wez Furlong has written a patch for the GD extension to
add support for true color, alpha blending and other functions that are in GD 2.0.1.
It has been placed in the CVS, and will probably make it into PHP 4.0.6.

TLK: Mailing list troubles

There have been a few posts about subscriptions on the lists disappearing. If you
are only receiving a few messages, or none at all, please re-subscribe.

TLK: New bug system in development

Just a reminder that there is a new bug tracking system in development. If you
have anything to contribute, post your thoughts to the PHP QA mailing list. No code
has been written yet, so you still have a chance to be part of the design
process.

TLK: Apache 2.0 and PHP

Now that the first beta version of Apache 2.0 is available, more people will be
trying to compile PHP with it. Although it is possible to do this, you should note
that Apache is still in beta, and you may encounter some problems. If you are having
troubles with it, please file reports using the bug-tracking system.
