Check-out the Web 2.0 Starter Toolkit, it offers a great start to reducing the coding yet helps you produce cool applications using Ajax, ATOM feeds and REST Web Services. It is a great on-ramp to get you working with Zend Core and IBM DB2 Express-C and Rich Internet Applications (RIA). This toolkit will also work with Zend Core for IBM, check out the FAQ. This is an excellent use case for DB2 pureXML!!! With the Web 2.0 Starter Toolkit for IBM DB2, in minutes you can:

  • Publish ATOM feeds from pureXML databases
  • Build Web Services via Point and Click
  • Monitor the activity in your database via AJAX

While many of you are coders on site, this can save a fair bit of time/efforts producing ATOM Feeds and REST services for either Mash-ups or Ajax Applications from the database perspective. If you are new to PHP and DB2, it is a decent starter as are the samples with Zend Core for IBM.
