Nate Abeele wrote me yesterday to let me know that the CakePHP group has officially announced their first Users Conference. CakeFest 2008 will be held February 6-8, 2008 in Orlando Florida, US.

The conference is sponsored by The Cake Development Corporation and Sypad and will be held at the Imperial Swan Hotel

With the recent launch of CakePHP 1.2 beta, the Cake world is now more active than ever. What better way to keep up with the latest than joining CakePHP’s core team and prominent developers in three exciting days of CakePHP programming talks.

They have a mailing list you can join to get regular updates and their Call For Papers is still open so you can still propose a session.

If you program using the CakePHP framework, I know you won’t want to miss this event.
