Zend announces the release of Zend Framework 1.7.6! You can download this new mini release from the ZF download site:

ZF CACHE & ZEND SERVER CE

The ZF Cache component lists Zend Platform as a backend; I'm used to using APC, but I'm pretty interested in Zend Server CE. Since Zend Server CE comes with Zend Optimizer out of the box (which does not work with APC, correct?) I was wondering about the "Zend Data Cache" -- is it already or will it be usable by Zend Framework as a backend (is it the same as using Zend Platform)?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but there's no "Zend Server" or "Zend Framework" section of the forums :\
