A comparison of Programmers Salary By Language
Travis Hawkins has posted an interesting article over at “BestCodingPractices.com:http://bestcodingpractices.com titled .NET developers make more money. I guess it’s not too hard to guess the conclusion he came to.
He doesn’t publish his research or his methodology so I’m not sure how much weight to put into it but he talks about 4 languages. In order of pay scale they are:
- .Net
- PHP
- ASP
- ColdFusion

One of his conclusions worth mentioning:
In fact the main reason for PHP developers to make less than .NET developers is because there is such an enormous community of PHP programmers.
Hmmmmmmm. Well it’s food for thought. If you are primarily a PHP developer and want to participate in a wholly informal and unscientific survey, email me your salary or if you are freelance, your hourly rate. (Please make a note to tell me if you are ZCE)
