Jeremy's introducton to programming started with building his own Gaming Community on his thirteenth birthday in 2000. He started off with the Perl YaBB Forum Package, and was making modifications to the software to suit the needs of his site. As his site grew, it was eventually donated a vBulletin license by one of the active members of the community. This was Jeremy's first taste of PHP.
Things quickly progressed from there. Entering the PHP community at the end of the PHP 3 era, Jeremy spent six months studying the PHP Manual before he ever actually wrote a line of code. After this intense study session, he finally started working on his GU Portal, an open source Portal Add-On to the Invision Power Board Forum Solution. The Project progressed as he went along, and new features were architected as he learned new things about programming and software functionality.
After acquiring his Zend Certification in February 2006, Jeremy went on to work at Completely Unique as the Director of Software Development. Now Jeremy works as a Software Developer for Peak8 Solutions, specializing in PHP, but gradually acquiring experience in other areas and languages.
